You see, we are our own portfolio

We have a sense always of all we are

By taking stock, we learn which way to go

We may take stock and find a better way

We have the freedom to control our lives

If doom does not appeal we have a say

If we are trying to ascend toward light

Remember that our best light lies within

No one else but you can know your soul

And it is never too late to begin
